A message from the artist: In this work I wanted to convey the theme of “From The Mountains to the Sea: Come Read With Me”, while showing the fun and imaginative experiences many kids have when they enjoy a good book. I used colorful imagery to show the fantasied thoughts kids have while reading. I made them following a path that travels from the mountains to the seat to truly resemble children reading across South Carolina.
